Default Front motor mount bolts loose (question) 07 FXD

I have been chasing this annoying vibe/buzz in my bike for a few days. I decided to do an all around check of the bolts tonight. On the front motor mount, I found the two bolts that connect the motor to the mouint to be just a little better than finger tight. The bolts that go from the frame to the mount (the hex heads) were all the way tight. How tight should the other two bolts be? I snugged them down, but wanted to make sure they weren't supposed to be this way. I have a hard time believing they should be this loose, but you never know.

Yeah, hard to believe but the procedure for mounting the engine in the frame goes like this in part:
Install 4 transmission bolts finger tight.
Install 2 front engine mount bolts in finger tight.
Go back to the tranny bolts and tighten all 4 in the sequence shown (X pattern) to 15 ft lbs each.
Then tighten the 4 trans bolts to 30 to 35 ft lbs each.
Now go to the 2 front engine crankcase to mount bolts and torque to 33 to 38 ft lbs each.
Those are the loose bolts you speak of. Perhaps lunch time hit in the middle of the install at the factory?...........pg

Well, perhaps I am on the right track with this vibe issue. I'd love to edit my repsonse in the "Are you glad you bought a Dyna" thread.

Thank you for the tip. I'll hit it wth the torque wrench in the morning.

The two crankcase to front motor mount bracket bolts are 25-30 ft-lb. All four front and all four rear isolator bolts are 25 ft-lb.
This is from the 07 Dyna service manual.

Did 200 miles today, no noticeable vibe. Seems like I got it taken care of. Thank you guys for the torque specs. Going to keep an eye on these.

Yeah, someone on the assembly line just forgot to torque the bolts. I would lay that torque wrench on the transmission bolts as well, just to check that they are tight.
Good that you have no more vibes. Thats how it should ride.......pg
