Default Cover for Charcoal canistor

Hate the look of the canister below the regulator. I do not want to remove it.
I would appreciate advise about a chrome cover. As long as it fits over , I can modify to fit about the hoses.

Thank You,
Roger

Not many options as far as a chrome cover goes for the evap can. You would prob have to fab your own, or you could mount a tool bag or chin fairing to "hide" the smog can. The majority of CA riders just take it off and plug the hoses.

O town,
Thanks for the reply. I didn't know you could just put a plug in the hoses. Would it screw something up with the bikes running or computer sensing.

Old Dyna's, it is located under the front seat beside the battery box.
Maybe it's possible to relocate?

It's been a while so my memory is kinda fuzzy, but on my 2010 FB I think there were three hoses that were connected to the canister: one to the fuel tank vent, one to the throttle body, and another one that went to the "atmosphere" somewhere under the tank (your bike's setup may be slightly different but similar). Disconnecting/removing the hoses is fairly simple (you may have to unbolt the rear of the tank and prop up for better access), and remove the canister with bracket. I recommend you save all the parts in case they're ever needed for the future. Important: after pulling off the hose at the throttle body be sure to cap the vacuum port, otherwise the motor will suck in raw air. That should be pretty much all that's needed. As far as the ECM is concerned I haven't noticed any ill effects - the motor runs fine. Hope that helps.

You won't ever know or notice any difference in the way it runs and there are no sensors to trigger the computer, the only difference is that it won't be there anymore when you look.

The canister has more to due with the tank venting system over anything. Removing it should be fine as long as you route and plug lines accordingly. Repair manual should show what the differences are.
