Default 1st Dyna 2015 FXDB - Build Thread

So I bought my first Dyna this summer. I have wanted one for awhile, and decided I wanted one before they combined with the softails. I have had a few baggers as my forum name would suggest. Baggers are great, and I love the comfort, the wind block, and the audio, but wanted to get back to my roots. I rode and raced sport bikes for 27 years, and wanted to go back to the basics of horse power, lighter weight, wind, no audio, and only the sound of the motor and exhaust. I totally love this bike, and my wife totally hates it because it's not 2-up. I kept my Road Glide so she is dealing with it, but sometimes I just need to get out on the road alone, and push the bike harder through the corners than she likes. Now I can't leave anything I ride alone, and hate leaving bikes stock, so thought I would put a build thread together. This is how she looked when I bought her.

Congrats on the new to you bike!!

Funny, I did the same thing. I love my Limited for all the same reasons. I recently bought a 10 Fat Bob to play with. I look forward to your thread.

Awesome. Looks like a good start. What are the plans. I'd say upgrade the suspension some if you like to push things a little harder in the corners.

Not positive, but thought they were Lucky Dave’s. I really like the way they feel. Hand and arm position is very comfortable. So I’ll start with my project there. Turn signals, levers, and mirrors.

Great start! Just about how I bought my '16 fxdb. Mine just had stock pipes. Idk how hard it is to put mid controls on with that [thunderheader?] but that and a good set of taller shocks would be my next big investment for your bike. Welcome to the dyna family!
