Default In quest of Seat Nirvana

Greetings,

I have 4 seats in my garage
Stock
HD Tallboy
Corbin Classic Solo w/ backrest and pillion
Mustang Wide Touring solo w/ backrest and pillion

My wife, also has a Switchback and runs the HD Sundowner solo w/ pillion (not to be confused with the Sundowner Dual, which moves the rider up 1", but forward 1" vs the Sundowner Solo which moves the rider up 1", but back 1")

All get close, but none "nail" it.

Fellow Dyna riders, I need your help. I have a Switchback, which I really enjoy, but want/need to find the correctly dimensioned seat. I have long legs, and most seats have me feeling scrunched up. Are there custom seat makers out there that I could get to make a seat to the following spec? I've contacted Mean City about giving my Mustang some additional height, but in the end, their options wouldn't get me where I want to be dimensionally.
1"-1.5" taller than stock
1"-1.5" back from stock
Backrest
Preferably split between rider and pillion seats
Preferably leather, but will take vinyl

Surprisingly, the HD Sundowner Solo seat gets closest dimensionally to what I'm looking for. But …can't get a back rest, and the locking tab between the rider and pillion seats is really cheap and flimsy. I actually get worried about my wife riding on this seat when she connects the pillion for when we go touring.

Any recommendations on who to contact for a custom seat?

I bought a custom made seat from Sick Saddles about 5 years ago. Still using it, Has held up great. And a comfort to ride on. He is out of Lexington Ky.

I would contact Corbin for what you are looking for. They have a good removable back-rest system for the rider. They can make whatever dimension wise that you're looking for.

Saddlemen makes custom seats as well, if you contact them I’m sure they can help...

LePera hands down for long legs.

Look at the Daytona and the Maverick Daddy Long Legs versions.

IMO, the Maverick is a full 2up more comfy on long rides than the Daytona.

Try Mean City Cycles for modifying one of your seats to meet your needs.

I tried several seats including Corbin solo and C&C solo, before finally settling on the Saddlemen Dominator, which I truly like. Can do 300 miles no problem. Holds you in place like your glued in.

I've contacted them previously. While I love the options they have as far as materials, in speaking with them, they won't make a seat that is at least 1" higher than stock, which is mandatory for what I'm looking for.

I've contacted them previously. While they will work with me on the height, based on the measurements on their website, and in speaking with them, they are too far forward for what I'm looking for.

Thought about it, but their seats are too low. Want to be higher than stock, not lower.

Have previously spoken to them about modding my Corbin or Mustang. They don't do Corbin because of the rivets, and they don't do high enough on the seat sent them. Part of the challenge was trying to get more rearward dimensioning on the Mustang due to the backrest.

Contacted Laam Custom Seats yesterday. Really nice guy and no bullshit in what his capabilities are. Going on a 5 day ride starting this weekend. When I get back, I'm sending him either the Corbin or Mustang. He says he can add the height and get to the dimensions I'm looking for. Interestingly, I had mentioned I really like having a backrest. He said send the one with the backrest you prefer. Personally, I think the Corbin has a much better design for their backrest in shape and mounting, so will probably go with that.

Again, thanks for everyone's input...
