I hope your not disappointed when you get it. I don’t know this guy at all, but if the major seat manufacturer is telling you they can’t do it...well

please let us know how it works out for you..

I understand the concern. I think generally, the major seat manufacturers are focusing a lot on style, with a low slung seating position. I want more of a "sit up and beg" riding position, which, aside from the HD Tallboy and to a lesser extent the HD Sundowner, I haven't found anywhere.

However, I've seen LAAM seats recommended for other type bikes (sport touring, ADV type bikes) and the users report good results. When I spoke to the owner, he compared his seats to something like a Russel seat where there may be some compromises on the aesthetic, but the total focus is on a seat giving max comfort for touring. If you've ever seen a Russell, they are butt ugly, but really really comfy. In looking at some of the gallery shots on the LAAM site, the seats are big like a Russell, but has some style to them. We'll see.

I've got the DS Predator III seat (see sig pic below) I read about on this forum and for $310 it gives me great lower back support . I had my doubts but it's made me fall in love with my bike again. The Bob seat it came with put me on the bike instead of in the bike which is never good.
