Well, I ordered my rush 2.25 slip-on's today and then went for a ride with my stock pipes in whisper mode. A car looked right at me and then pull out right in front me. I had to slam on the brakes cause there was no where to swerve. One of my co-workers was following close behind me on a crotch rocket and almost plowed into the back of me as well! I hope that when my bike is loud as all hell, people (including my idiot friend) will be more aware.

 

I know that is I blip the the throttle I can see a cager turn to look for me. So I think that they do sometimes...

 

No but they **** off neighbors and yuppies!

 

Yeah, I give it a little pull anytime I think that someone is no payin attention....get's em to look and be somewhat mindful...yeah

 

No matter what people say... it's a fact.. loud pipes do get you noticed. My Vance & Hines have saved my butt from a scrape or two.

 

It seems to me people who dont think loud pipes save lives, either dont and never have had them, or the;re just as oblivious as the cagers.

 

I twist it everytime I see some yahoo making a left in ront of me and it's obious he doesen't see me coming.

Saved me from a few close calls.

 

They work good in parking lots when people are backing out as you come up. Helped me manytimes

 

They help,especially when you drive next to the cager with open window, Mat with SE pipes

 

And give me a headache [&:] IMO really loud pipes hurt all bikers [&:]
