My 2007 Dyna started life as a Street Bob, all blacked out and unique when I bought in in Oct 2006.Then the damn Sons of Anarchy came along and EVERYBODY had to have a Blacked out Harley. So screw it, I chromed it out. Bought n sold black wrinkle for CHROME on ebay and life was good. Screw this damn EFI crap, my big bad-*** 96" 6 speed Dyna can't keep up with my Wife's 04 1200 Custom going up steep hills. Converted to CV-40 and a Thunder Hart Stand Alone Ignition system at around 38,000 miles. OK, that's the background, now here's the weird stuff. Chrome dash with an 08 Dyna speedo has in the lower right corner hard to see a light for cruise control indicator. At 102,000 miles I needed to replace worn out stuff - compensator for Vulcan compensator eliminator sprocket, worn out Hayden shoe, for ***** n giggles a cam chain shoe (worn 1/2 way through,) and a worn-out stretched primary chain and a drive belt. Got it ll back together and Test Ride. Got maybe 5 miles from home and red warning light on speedo comes on. My brain says replace regulator when ya get home. Well, the engine dies instantly at 45 mph. Coast to a stop and it restarts so no trailer. Get home and red light is still on, no not the battery light . . . the cruise control light is on. WTF, there are no provisions, either wires or ECU for cruise control on any 07 Dynas. Go over the entire bike, and replace the right front turn signal because the mica contact board is broken in half and the running light and blinker crapped out. So, I thought I was very knowledgeable about mechanical & electrical stuff, but WTH is going on with a red warning light for cruise contrtol.
