I was thinking about upgrading my exhaust and was wondering if anyone has any experience with the stock air cleaner compared to other offerings. I like the look of the mini teardrop style from S&S. Is there much improvement going a different route or is the stock air cleaner fine? I am just looking for new exhaust and not looking for too much of a major improvement for now. I will most likely go the Fuel Moto route with the tuner.

 

The stock air cleaner is pretty much what you would get in the aftermarket for a standard Dyna - the cone and the filtration are excellent. I think the only reason why you'd get a different intake is more for looks. Someone else can chime in if they see any dyno result differences.

 

No dyno experience but that Air Hammer on your FXDLS is a Stage 1 air cleaner. I have one on my FXDB, I love the way it looks.

 

One of the best flowing intakes on the market. But I hated the look, so I changed it out.
