Default Heat issue

Anybody on here put 10.5-1 pistons cams and head work in a 103? I'm having trouble with engine getting hot real fast, tempature runs high 250-260+ if I get stopped at a long light it will get up quickly. Trying to find out if anybody else has done work like that and any similar issues. Bike has been Dyno tuned and I put a jagg oil cooler, but the cooler isn't helping much. Cams are se259e with the CNC se heads.

My 107" has a little work like that and if I remember correctly it can run hotter than that, I almost want to say your temps don't seem excessively hot to me. I haven't had my PV mounted in a few years so haven't watched my temps but when I did have it on I remember higher temps than that.

No doubt if you are stopped your temps are going to go up so my advice is don't stop

More importantly, we all want to know, what were you dyno numbers?

My 2007 Dyna gets as hot as an old Evo. I have no oil cooler and live in Texas. How did I get it to run like that, you ask. Convert the EFI to a Mikuni carburetor. The results, Heat .... GONE, and low and mid range torque .....way up.

Yeah last year after I got everything together and tuned before the oil cooler in August I would hit 290 and higher and it would start to idle funny, guess that might have been a cylinder shut down for safety maybe.

Yeah, it's going to get hot. You have high compression now. Did you talk with your tuner first about this?

I mean since you have gotten it back from the dyno tune, and you noticed it appearing to run hot, have you discussed THIS with your tuner?

No I haven't I guess I probably should, just thought I'd ask on here and see if anyone had similar work and see what temps they get.

It's probably still running cooler than a stock bike with cats in the exhaust!

And the bright side, you got 126lbs tq
