Default More questions about the bagger air shocks on a Dyna

I got my Electraglide shocks today and I'm getting ready to install them.Any tips, ideas or advice would be greatly appreciated. They're connected together by a small air line that feeds into a valve.I think I could do a cleaner job of mounting them if I took the lines off and re installed them after mounting the shocks any thoughts on that? If I unscrew the fitting for the lines is oil going to leak out?Is it possible to shorten the lines? What about eliminating them alltogether and going with a valve per side?

Here I am bumpin my own thread again.I just threw em on there an tucked the lines up under the seat. They feel very plush right now but there is no pressure in them I just checked another thread and found out I can run about 15 PSI in them I'm going out to try that next.

I put them on my 07 bob. Go to napa auto partsand get part # 90-294 tank valve (2)
theywill screw into each shock. You may also want to get HD air pump#54630-03A
I also found riding solo that about 5psi will do, two up 10 to 15psi loaded maybe 20psi
Hope this helps.

I threw them on and tucked the schrader valve under the seat. If you push in on the red pieceof the fitting the air line goes into you can remove the air line and cut it to length. As long as you bleed the air out of them and don't tip the shocks over the oil won't come out. Smooth ride.

That would have been nice, actually I just got a new camera today I will try and take some pics and post em tomarro.I haven't had the best of luck posting pics to this forum but I can always upload em to photobucket and link to them.these are regular Electraglide shocks so they're a bit on the tall side but they squat down quite a bit when you sit on it.

More info and pics when you can. I just saw this thread and it has peaked my interrest. Nice ride BTW. I hate 2int1's but that black one on your "rat" bike looks really great!

Thanks,
MV

I'm going to try to link to some before and after pics. Also I thought it might be usefull to show how much the air shocks squish down with someone on the bike.
