Default Transmission pulley

Do I have to replace the forward transmission pulley on my 03 Lowrider. I know people have gone from a 32 tooth pulley to 29 or less. Was wondering if anyone has gone up to a 34 tooth pulley and what was the difference

Used 34 on two bikes , lowers rpm by approx 6.2 percent at a given speed

Not an issue for me.
Then again I`m not 275lbs with a 200 lb passenger

I did it on mine. Fast enough to not really notice and cruises at higher speed better. You may or may not notice a little longer run in 1st before shifting.

30/70 is where I know most people want to go to, not the opposite direction. Going up to 34T on the front should lower your RPMs by about 200 at 70 MPH and lose some torque at the lower gears. You will need to start downshifting to accelerate on the highway but the belt will still fit. You're better off putting a 6 speed transmission in and keeping the pulleys.
