Question 2007 FXD Oil leak out of clutch cable

Just noticed my new/used 2007 FXD is weeping oil out of the clutch cable. Not the fitting, the fiber webbing is almost greasy and oil is present. Oil level appears correct. Checked vent tube. It's clear. Removed fitting. it's clear. However, when I attach a hose to the fitting and blow in it, there is resistence. With the size of the breather tube, and the size of the trans chamber, I would expect free flowing air, without resistance. Also, is there a seal that stops the trans oil from traveling into the cable?
Thanks!

If it is leaking from the cable near the trans, the o-ring inside the cable is bad. This is common and means the cable needs to be replaced

There is nothing to prevent tranny fluid from traveling up the clutch cable other than gravity.

No need to replace the entire cable...just replace the O ring!
