I still have and ride my StreetGlide but I bought a Dyna also with the same thought in mind as you. The Dyna feels like a dirt bike compared to the StreetGlide.
And the chick's dig it.

Riding without that big batwing blocking the wind is something I'll have to get used to again. But, I don't travel anymore on a bike, so it's not bad just cruising around at normal speeds for a hundred miles or so, which is as far as I tend to go anymore.

Those are one of the best looking Dynas the MoCo has ever built.

Get yourself a detachable windshield. They make a world of difference for longer rides.

Anyway, I just turned 73 and the Electra Glide was just becoming too heavy. I need rotator cuff surgery and moving the bike around just got to be, well painful. So, I sold it and bought my fifth Dyna, a 2012 Super Glide Custom which is my favorite in the Dyna lineup. Has most of the things I want on it already....forward controls, stage one, and exhaust. 13,000 miles. At my age, this one's keeper.......

Congratulations on your new (to you) bike.

I restarted my riding life with a '15 FatBob and I traded it in on my '20 FatBoy. I still miss that bike. Dyna's just ride different.

Look on around on your local Craigs list for a "removable" windshield. I never rode my FatBob without it once I found it. Best $150 I spent on that Dyna.
