Here it is...
Thanks all..... The Soupy is my first Harley and I didn't tell the dealer that I had never ridden a Harley before the day I rode it out of the shop. Had riceburners (350cc; 750cc; 900cc) in a former life (pre H-D).
She sits in my family room and I wear that grin every time I have to squeeze past!! I've even been known to pat her on the *** occasionally!! lol
The half helmet is a priority... that helmet is a left over from my days of car rallying (special stage rallying - gravel etc).
The reflectors... never thought about it but your advice 2007fxdc & JayfromPa is duly noted... How do ya get them off?
I've ridden 400mi in the6 days since I got the bike and there's torrential rain forecast for the next week... g-r-r-r-r-r!! Our summers are awesome... can't wait!!
Thanks again for the good wishes.

Dudley, really? Apple tatt and all? lol
Seriously, to remove the reflectors just use fishing line or even dental floss. Run it behind the reflector with a sawing motion. Then use goo-gone or I saw someone else suggest WD-40 to remove the residue.
I put rigid sideplates on mine at first and that is how I moved the reflectors to the fender struts. Now I have detachable sideplates but they clear the reflectors on the struts fine but cover them up. However, the detachable sideplate kit came with reflectors that stick onto the sideplates themselves.
On the other hand, you could just trash them as someone else suggested. Then again, you never know if that reflector may allow someone else to see you that may not have otherwise...
