Default here are some drag bars on a SG

hello all... my first post. i have seen a lot of topics asking for different bars on the SG so i thought now would be the appropriate time to share mine.

the risers are accutronix
the drag bars are just 24 inchers
the speedometer is a dakota digital (and the wrong one, if you decide to do this get the $400 one that has all the signal lights built in)
the pod is an arlen ness pod, drilled and tapped to the handle bars.

i think that about covers it.

now, i have a question for you wrenchers. i have D&D exhaust, stage one, and power commander. i pulled the baffles out at about 1k. also, the dealer suggested i switch to synthetic oil on my 1k service. i currently have almost 5k miles. just recently my exhaust sound has changed, and the bike has lost power. it went from a smooth very low rumble to more of a crackle(kinda, and i'm stressing kinda, sounds like an exhaust leak). when cruising at about 65mph in 5th, if i goose it for a sec i can hear what sounds like a squeek coming from the left side of the bike. last of all, i have smoke come out when i start the bike or when i get the RPMs up to their limit. if anyone has any idea... please let me know before i have to cut off my arm and leg to pay the dealer to diagnose. thanks.

Those bars are sweet! Want to put some drag bars on mine but would like a way to mount the factory speedo in a chrome housing similar to whats on a 1200 sportser.

As far as your questions,

I'm not sure I can be ofmuch help, but I had some samson pipes that cracked and it popped terribly on decel and when I let off the gas to change gears. Since you didn't mention that happening I would guess it's not an exhaust leak. I've heard someone with similar complaints (loss of power at certain speeds) whenhis power commander crapped out.I can't remember who it was. But you might want to check it out. As for thesmoke, mine smokes a littletoo when you first crank it up, but I was told by my dealer that its programmed toruna little rich until it reaches normal operating temperatures. Soa little smoke on start up is normal. Sorry not much help.Let us know what you find out. I'm sure some of the wrenches on the forum will have a better ideaof what it could be.
