Default thread size of the seat bolt?

Hi all,
new here, just left a message introducing myself in the newbie area. So I don't have my bike yet, not too far away though, starting to get some bits for it. It will be a 08 Denim Black Bob and I just got a stock dyna 2 up seat for it off of ebay so I wanna make up a knurled **** for quick detaching.
I'm a fitter so I can knock one up easy but I don't have access to a bike to get the dimensions. Just want to confirm that it is 1/4" x 20 tpi as found in a search here and would like to know the length of the thread.
OD and height of the knurled section of the **** would be handy too.

Thanks in advance,

Cheers,
Daggs

Must be nice to be able to make your own instead of having to pay the moco 15.95 for a 2 dollar screw like I did.

1/4 x 20 thread. Length is whatever you make it. You're going through a tab down into a threaded nut that's heldin the fender with a plastic "C" clip. I would cut the stud to stick down out of the knurled "****" that you're making about 3/4" max. Use permanent Loc-tite on the threads in the "****" and use a stainless-steel split lock washer between the **** and the seat tab.
