This is basically how I mounted my bags. On and off in two-three minutes with a wrench.

I can remove stock bags, put on my trailer hitch and replace bags in exactly under 10 minutes:

i'm riding a softail deuce, but read the whole thread anyway haha. in the last week i have done the garage door opener-used a replacement opener and relay to the high beam. got u bolt plates ($0.99 each) for my tank lift (not done yet), and just picked up my spiral bound manual yesterday ($6.79). great site and thanks for all the ideas guys!

This thread is amazing. Read through the first 20 pages or so, gonna try to make it through the last 150 later.

For someone like me who is on a tight budget but still wants to customize things this is great.

Has anyone seen WW2 ammo cans mounted as saddlebags?? In the process of doing this, and so far it is probably going to be for less than $50, but I got the ammo cans for free..
