Hogrida nice product you have there! The only concern there is the lack of light on the plate, as pointed out by a customer. True of most lay down brackets. This would be an easy fix with your design. JP cycles and I'm sure others have plate fasteners with led's in the heads. The tops are capped with a small cutout to the side to direct the light where needed. Cost about 20.00. Easy enough for your costomers to add or you to integrate.
Been reading the forum a while now, waiting to be able to contribute something. This just happened to be something I have been looking into. I am a machinist by trade and am working on a laydown with brake light. I hate the factory light.

Welcome to the forum and besure to post picks of your project when your finished.
I personally am not concerned with the amount of light on my plate. The stock light illuminates 90% of the plate. Besides my bike isn't "street legal" anyway. Handle bars are too high, pipes are too loud, turnsignals are too small, no reflectors, and I don't wear a DOT helmet. Most of the cops around here give me looks, but only because my scoot is bad ***.

Will do pics, Rereading it was not somone with your mount that brought up the issue. It was a Kuryachen. Like the mount simple and clean. Its the light I cant do. Hear ya on the legalities. Personaly I like the minimalist approach. No helmet laws here, so the hair can blow. I dont even think the DOT inspects helmets so thats my argument if they ever pass the law. Skullcap with a DOT sticker and a big grin.

My bracket lay right on the fender and the bottom and only stands off about .25" at the top. No bolts required, thems built in. Now, if you had a nut with a light in it we'd be in business, but good luck wrenching a nut with wires coming off of it.
