Default 1550 kit for 06 dyna

Dont know if anyones had this done to an 06 yet , but mines in the HD SHOP AT THE MOMENT, but there is a problem !!! the 06 model has different cam plates , so the upgrade is designed for pre 06.
The shop has said they are waiting on part number info from harley hq ,but because of xmas things are slow .
Any info appreciated

cam plates dont come into the picture for a 95 kit. its an !/8 inch overbore. then comes the tuning. your question should be----------- how will i tune my efi for the bigger engine!!!!

They do if the kit 1550 cams wont fit . The 1550 re map is with the kit !!!
They have said the 06 camplates dont except the 1550 kit cams /rockers

We are talking full kit here not just barrels/pistons

For my '06 FDI35:

The deal got the 'O5 1550 kit, which includes the wrong cams. Then they gave me a credit, and ordered cams with adifferent part number.

As of 60 days ago, there was no complete '06 1550 kit - you are correct.

oh, you mean the H-d 1550 kit. i didnt think anyone actually fell for that.

$200 pistons and gaskets with bore charge = 95 inches. plenty of can choices that are drop in and work well. but you wont tune it with a download!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!

Yes, the cam plate, cams, chains, and adjusters/tensioners are all differant. None of these parts interchange between the engines.

The 1550 kit as supplied by HD carries a differant PN for the '06 dynas, that's PN 29874-06. It includes 203 cams.

Sounds like your dealer purchased the wrong kit for you.

There is also a download available to match this kit.

Personally, I would not use the kit. I would choose the parts I wanted to make it run the way I want it to. But that's just me.

Do you know about the kit installation discount from H-D? They say it's for the 103 kit, but list the 95 kit part numbers.

Default 06 dyna

I just picked up a 06 dyna , and I had a 03 1550 HTCC kit the only thing that I couldn't use was the cams . Because the cam plate is different . So I order a cam and everything went together just fine.
