Default Help with Cables and wires for Apes

I decided to go ahead and order the new cables and wires needed to put on my 16" Gimps. Of course I'm jumping the gun because I won't see my bike or Service Manual until March but I know I can count on you guys on here. Jakeiniraqis going to help me out and get the standard legths for the cables from his dealership when he calls them but I'm still running into difficulties even finding the cables online. I'm tracking Brake, clutch, throttle and idle cable for the 07 Wide Glide, anybody know of a good site to pick them up (we can't access ebay out here so I'm stuck with suppliers)? I was looking at +6 on all cables and maybe the Novello Wire Extension. Let me know what you think?

I found a link on Ebay that led me to a company in Austin that I ordered my stainless braided cable set and brake lines from. I bought the 13"fat apesbars and cables off Ebay and it cost me around $270.00. I'd check there first for the best deal.

As for the wiring I ended up running the wires in my bars using a weedeater string to pull them up and thru. I ended up soldering and heat shrinking about 15 wires per side to get the length right for my 13" bars but the additional labor was worth the look of getting the wires hidden. Totally cleaned up the whole look around the handle bars. The bars I ordered were the 1 1/4 diameter ones. They step down to 1' at the risers as well as the grips so stock stuff will still work.

I just purchased 6+ cables/lines for my Bob - 16" Gimps here, too.

I went through Zanotti's. They sell parts out of the Drag Specialties Fatbook, and at a decent discount to boot. Got an 8" Novello wire extension (probably overkill), throttle/idle, and clutch cables from them (went with Magnum Sterling Chromite II for all cables/lines).

Get the part numbers out of the Drag Specialties FatBook (Zanotti site has a link), then just use the part numbers when ordering. Look up "Aftermarket" parts (via dropdown): https://www.zanottimotor.com/shopping/partLookUp.html

Part Numbers I went with (your bike may require different - check the FatBook!!):
Clutch: 0652-0596
Throttle and idle - can't remember which is which: DS-33196 and DS-34196
Wire Ext 8": 2120-0028

They didn't have the 52" brake line I wanted, so I got that here (along with new fittings):

Part Number: DS3552

I also ordered two new banjo fittings, at that site as well. At the advice of others on this forum, I'm just reusing the stock banjo bolts.

Hope this helps!!
