Default Dyna Low Rider Mid Controls

Is it easy or cheap to move the mid-controls forward? I am used to forward controls and it feels awkward. My wife and I just got a 2006 Dyna Low Rider. Also what would you suggest for a comfortable seat especially for a passenger?

Gonna have to buy forward controls. Probably about $300 for the kit.
I went with the Mustang seat and haven't regretted it once.

Depends on what you consider cheap and if you are willing to do the work yourself. You can buy a set of forwards (can't physically move the mids) from HD or Kuryakyn for around $300. Might cost you that much again or more to actually have a dealer install them. The Kury's you can do yourself with a few simple tools and a couple of hours or less.

As far as a seat, there are a lot of comfortable ones out there, it just depends on the look you are willing to live with. Not a rule, but generally speaking, IMO, the more comfortable it is, the worse it looks on the bike. I ride solo with a low profile solo seat. When I ride 2-up, I put on a HD Tallboy seat with a sissy bar - but I hate the way it looks. It is very comfortable though. It's very similar to the HD Sundowner seat if you've ever seen one of those.

I went with the Harley Touring seat. Raised me up and back about an inch or so. Very comfortable.

It's easy, since it's a Harley nothing is cheap.

Lot's of threads on Forward Controls. I just installed HD forwards on mine, but left the mid pegs in place. Took about an hour to install, very simple.

Have the Sundowner Touring seat, with the 12" wide passenger pillion. Wife loves it.
Me, the day after I took a 223 mile ride it finally dawned on me that nowhere during the ride did I even think about my butt or my back.
I too am loving it.

+1, it is very easy to install and I used the HD forwards also. I ride on a Mustang vintage solo standard width. A lot of folks will say that Mustang seats do not need any "break in" but mine is more comfortable now that I have a few more miles on it.

I also have the Sundowner seat and my wife and kids love it. It gives them more area to sit on while offering a lot more cushion. It also offers more back support for me.
