Default Question about Mustang Pillion on FXDB

I bought a Mustang pillion and notice that under the seat, there are these rubber pieces that rests the seat softly on the fender.

My question/concern is this...

I have black denimpaint. Won't the rubber pieces rub the paint shiny?

If so, does anyone have any recommendations?

Thanks

I wonder if the mini rubber blocks HD has on the underside of the 2 up stock seat, that are adhesived to the fender Might work for you, I pulled mine off to go solo saddle, but it seams if you put them down, they would be between the Mustang rubber and the paint, maybe get a thin adhesive backed rubber pads at the hardware store for cheap. When i pulled my blocks up, no trace on the fender....

I don't have black denim paint, but I have noticed slight wear on my fire red pearl fender. What I did was order this stuff.....I put it on just a few weeks ago. It should protect the paint.

Has anyone ever tried putting tape on the fender?

I just thought that maybe the adhesive side wouldn't move, but then I love in Houston so standard masking probably wouldn't hold up.

Any more ideas?

Thanks

Check this one out:

Info on mounting the rubber pads to the seat and the effects on the fender. Good Luck.
