Default Fat Bob Back rest

Anybody have upclose pics of the rigid sideplate for Fat Bob backrest.
Do they go on the outside or inside of the struts.

It looks like they go on the outside, really don't want to install on the outside.

Thinking of moding the backrest to mount inside the fender struts .

I put them on my fatbob. They mount between the fender and strut.

I also installed them on my Fat Bob. They go between your fender and your strut. you have to remove 2 screws and a nut. the nut is what holds your turn signal on. after removing all the fastners put cloth or maskingtape on your fender so not to scratch the paint. slide backrest up right in. Hardest thing to do is make sure your blinker wire fits into the slot properly. Took me about 1/2 hour to completely install back rest.

Here's a photo of the back rest mounted on my FXDF.

The side plate is clearly visible outside the strut, obscuring the stock reflectors.

Stag yours are quick release, he is asking about rigid side plates.
Rigid go between the strut and fender, ( at least on all of the rigid I have seen ).
