Default Need help choosing windshield height

I need opinions on what height I should go with for my Low Rider.&nbsp\\; I am only 5' 9" and I have a Lowlander seat.&nbsp\\; I am looking at getting a compact low profile but I am not sure if that will give me the height for face protection from bugs and debris.
&nbsp\\;
I measured the above headlight windshield height (14.3 for the low profile) and as near I can tell it is about at my forehead height.
&nbsp\\;
Any real word opinions on the subject would be greatly appreciated.
&nbsp\\;
Thanks Bill&nbsp\\;

Thanks for the suggestion, but I am not that lucky to have a dealer with demo windshields. I am just concerned&nbsp\\;about minimal buffeting over 60mph and correct height.&nbsp\\;I've read the top of windshield should be at nose level, but I was hoping someone with a lowrider and my ride height had&nbsp\\;gone through this process and could make a recommendation.
Thanks Bill&nbsp\\;

Is the windshield you are looking at a HD quick detachable model that attaches to the forks between the triple trees?&nbsp\\; If so, you'll have some adjustment there by locating it in different positions, up or down, on the forks.&nbsp\\; Probably at least an inch or more.&nbsp\\; You are correct in that it should be set such that your eyes look just above the top edge of the shield.

I have the compact low HD w/s.&nbsp\\; I'm 5'8" and I love it.&nbsp\\; I made the mistake of buying the Standard first and had to look through the windshield.&nbsp\\; I have mine set at nose level but anywhere I put it, it does the job fine.&nbsp\\; There is significant upward adjustment on it, but I keep it near the bottom of the range.

I'm 5 foot 6 and have the compact HD quick connect one.&nbsp\\; Works perfect.&nbsp\\; I keep it at the bottom of the trees and the top of the sheild is about nose level.&nbsp\\; If I place it all the way at the top of the trees, the top of the sheild is right above eye level.

If you like at dyna07custom's sig pic above, you can see how the windshield clamps on to the forks and how much room you have up or down to move those clamps.&nbsp\\; There is a significant amount of adjustment there as you can see.

My QR compact windshield measures to top at 54", My eyes are at 58". The bottom of the windshield I kicked out 1" at lower clamps. That set up gave me the best combination to minimize buffeting, still get more air that I want up from tank.

You want to be able to look over the top of the windshield.&nbsp\\; other than that, go to a dealer or indy and dry fit some different models.
