Default Memphis Shades

Received my Memphis Slim and hardware kit tonight. Took me 15 minutes to install and adjust the shield. Looks good, and seems to be the right height when sitting in the seat. Comes up to about the bridge of my nose. I wont be able to test ride until tomorrow morning. Anyone have tips on adjusting this shield to minimize buffeting? I have read a lot of threads off of the search, and hard mounted my fork bag on the lower tree as a result.

I have the Memphis shades slim on my Bob, I have tried all the adjustments possible, I can tell you, a slight tilt of the sheild toward your self, about the middle of the bottom screws of the bracket will eliminate most but not all buffeting, hope this helps!

Kj has a good point here. I will say this, I can have no buffeting at times and other times some. It depends on what direction the wind is blowing it seems. It does not matter if I am 55 to 75, if there is a cross wind I will get some buffeting, but not enough to give it up. So if there is no wind, I usually am good, but it does depend on where you have the shield as KJ said. Mine is adjusted just like he said. Eliminates at least 70% of wind, that is good enough for me. Good luck

I just rode it down the highway up to 75 and I am impressed. I have a little turbulence coming from the bottom, but no buffeting. I may tweak it a little, but I think I may have gotten it right based on your advice. Thanks for the help!

CK Bobber, I bought it from 2orangeharleys on eBay.

$95 for the mounting kit, $110 for the shield. I went with the Memphis Slim 17" Clear for a 7" headlight (MEM4210)
I cant get my USB card reader to load. I went with the clear because you don't notice it as much on the bike.
