No rear spark
I have a 2004 Harley Lowrider EFI. It was running okay then not okay, it was a hit and miss. Now it's only running on the front cylinder. I've replaced the spark plugs, plug wires, coil and crank position sensor and still no rear spark, it is getting gas. Ground wire? I looked and cannot find any wires that are off or broken. I'm exhausted please help.
Thanks!

Well, you've done everything I would have done. The next part without checking for codes would be an ECM, hopefully it's something simple like unplugging the ECM plug and reconnecting it, making sure it is good, tight and dry. Might want to let the dealer do a scan for codes. Good luck.
Well, I took it to the dealer and they tested it hooked it up to the computer and they have no clue why the rear is not sparking. Computer is not giving any codes. So they are stumped like I am. I will just keep looking for information.
Have you swapped the plug wires at the coil to see if that swaps the running cylinder? Did you check the little pin connectors at the coil (both halves of the plug) and at the ignition module (both plug halves there too) to ensure they are making contact, clean and tight? With an ohmmeter, you could check the continuity of the wires from the ignition module to the coil looking for an "open" wire. If it ain't any of those things, you MAY have a failed ignition module. I am disappointed in the dealer not finding the problem for you.

Well, I called another service tech at a different dealership and told him my dilemma. He asked if I had a Power Commander on it and YES I did (it was on there when I bought the bike) he told me to disconnect it and try it because they said the've been having quite a few problems with them and wha-la both cylinders fired up. I'm back on the road again! WHOOO HOOO! Just thought I would let you all know so if you ever have the same problem.
Thanks!

Not knowing your finances, what not dump the Power Commander put on a DFO, a simple operation, use the recommended settings. If you have aftermarket exhaust and intake, the DFO will richen up the now leaner condition and actually help the cylinders run a tad cooler. Just curious what side of the mitten are you on?

I am on the Lake Michigan side (Muskegon). I settled with a HD Super Tuner. I pick the bike up tomorrow at noon. I was told I probably don't need to replace the Power Commander and run it the way it is (if it doesn't keep fouling plugs, guzzle gas, etc.), but I think it will get better gas mileage and run smoother with a replacement. I checked around with alot of friends and they agree to get it and said I would be happy with it (we'll see). I just hope it isn't alot of money wasted. A few people told me they don't use the Power Commanders because of alot of problems with them, I will get more horsepower with the super tuner and more adjustment range.
