Anyone have a idea how much one of these goes for used? and any pictures? if so how does the 1/4 fairing improve wind at highway speed?

Forum member McC.Tan has his night rod headlight and fairing for sale. He wants $200 for the whole assembly. I don't know what they run new for though.

It won't help the wind at all. The fairing is too small and is mostly for aesthetic purposes. You don't need a nightrod headlight to attach it. I bought mine from Chicago HD for around $100 and then had it painted.

And yes it will fit the newer dynas.

Umm...re read my post if you are looking for a used one. Or just get a "headlamp visor" (looks almost the same). They are around $114 primed.

By the way, the one on the night rod isn't the quarter fairing. It's the one on my bike and that's the one I was speaking of. The quarter fairing is much better for wind protection but you'll have to do some mods to make it work on the newer dynas with 49 mm tubes.

Just purchased the 1/4 fairing from local HD. .. takes 25 days .. has to come from the MOCO paint shop, even tho' I am getting the primed only version. And yes I will have to make it work on my 49mm tubes. But , dangit I am riding this winter and I gotta get that cold wind offa my chest. I will let ya know how the mounting goes.

That was MaineHD. Last I knew the bike was for sale. I'd post a picture but someone might get mad.
