Had a couple of pm's requesting pics. I used Rush 2.0 black slipons and painted the heat shields myself. Bought the pipes from Wally's cycle world - I think its called Harley Parts Direct now. About $279 if I remember correctly. Here are some crappy photos - but you'll get the picture. Included a "before" pic as well.

 

Looks good! What did you paint the heat shields with?

Also, are those progressive 440s on your bike? What size did you go with?

 

The paint is just plain old Header Spray Paint from Kragen - don't remember which brand, but I've used em all and they are pretty much the same. I don't think I used Flat though, may have been semi-gloss becaue the slip-ons are a bit on the glossy side.

They are not 440's, they are 412's - I wish i would have gone with 440's though. The Freeways in So Cal are the worst (yet we pay one of the highest tax rates/registration rates in the country) and I have heard the 440's are a better ride. I'm going to switchover to 440's and put the 412's on my old sporty.

 

the pipes look killer... turn them so the hole for the baffle does not show.

Thanks! Those mufflers can't be turned and those holes (there are 3) are for end caps, not baffles. Just haven't decided which end caps I want.
