2006 is when things changed for the DYNA. With my 2005, I went with a Sportster 1200 Custom chromed disc rear wheel. It is 16X3 and it is IDENTICAL in spacing, everything with a stock wheel. I "think" the deuce is 17x4.5
The deuce wheel with a 150 width tire MAY work....but no idea, sorry. ~Joe |

I have an 05 Lowrider. Will the Deuce wheel bolt right up to my bike with the existing bearings. I think I have 3/4" axles. How wide are the Deuce wheels and tires? I was thinking they came with a 180 tire. I think that may be too wide for my bike since I have a stock 150 tire.

My rear HD Roadwinder wheel is for a 2005 Deuce. It was new in the box and had the bearings still in plastic with it. Bolted right on no spacers needed but I would definitely use new bearings and fasteners if I were you.

The early deuce wheel Will fit right on your 05 I know cuz I just put one on my 05 FXDCI.You must use your Dyna pulley! the Deuce wheel is 17x4.5 A metzeler 160/70/17 fits with about3/8" clearance at the tightest point. The dunlop is a wider tire and may not fit. It's a little tight putting on around the brake but it does fit without any Mods!
EDIT: Reread your post....I am using the Dunlop tire, maybe that is why it is a TIGHT fit! ~Joe |

The machining is becasue the outside diameter of the 1 inch spacer is a tad too big. All the machinist will do is measure the new spacer, and machine out just enough to make it work. EASY. ~Joe |
The New Deuce (06 Up)is a 17 and has the bigger bearings in already.
