Installing Thunderheaders
They're here! I wanna go out and install em right now, but they aren't the right color yet.
Still gotta get the chrome stripped, whether by sandblasting or scuffing in the garage, then repainting with the high-temp stuff.
Do I need to pick up anything specific besides new port gaskets, or is that it? The mounting kit was sent with the pipes...

really? I'm just askin because I have a hard time keeping those flange nuts on, I would think anti seize on the studs would make it worse?
It is recommended you apply the stuff to the threads of things that are exposed to high temperatures but need periodic replacement, like spark plugs. Since Harleys are all about exhaust you might want to be able to replace your pipes with a bit less headache...
I always get a couple of extra flange nuts, cause they always seem to disappear right when I need them. If your nuts (chuckle) are loosening up try putting a second on to hold the first one tight.
never had em come loose on there own and i always put anti seize on those studs.
makes it easier to take apart later.
would venture to guess that if the nuts are coming loose, then they were not installed properly to begin with, AKA, pipe was cocked in the port, gasket moved, flange not parallel to the cylinder head.
just my opinion
