Default Fat Boy fender on 07 WG, is it possible?

I just saw this pic of a night train with a fat boy fender (from forum member "back again"), and think it looks awesome:

I spoke to back again (great guy) and thinks that it should be possible. Has anyone tried that? Information? Pics?

Everything is possible! I say go! just remember that they changed the rear tire 2007 to 200mm on fat boy. Before it was 150-160mm i think.

You would need to cut it and widen it then lengthen the back of the fender so it doesnt leave a whole so you can see through the frame. (near the rear pegs shock area)

bosken- thanks! I checked it out and you're right. Pre 07 fat boys have a 150 rear tire. So, if I go down this route I guess I would need 07 later rear fender?

07 bobber- thanks, I see what you are saying! I really have no idea about how would I go around doing the mods (I am helpless with mechanical stuff). Perhaps another idea would be to look for after market fenders that look like the fat boy's but meant to fit a dyna (someone told me to look at Sumax). I guess the struts would also be a problem. I guess I am setting myself up for too much trouble...

Wow - the Fat Boy fender would look awesome on a WG. My favorite fender of all time is the hinged Shovelhead fender.

The Fatboys with the 200mm tire, the fender will need to be fabricated to make work. Too wide to fit between the Dyna's fender support arms. But were there is a will there is a way. Oh and aftermarket companies make similar fenders in custom widths.

I found this:
http://www.sumax.com/loboyfen.htm

and this:
http://www.sumax.com/LoboySweeper.htm

What do you guys think? Would it be easy to put lights etc.? Does anyone have experience with Sumax?

The loboy Sweeper fender for the Softtail is AWESOME. Is it me, or does the loboy Sweeper fender for the Dyna not look as good? For some reason, the loboy Sweeper for the Softail looks more stretched out than the Dyna loboy fender. Is it me? Or is it because the Dyna fender isn't painted?

What about welding a tail or stretching your actual fender? I am planning to add piece to mine from an extra fender I have laying around.
