Their cams are on the high side, some are listed @ $450.

I just don't know if you can't get a similar grind from someone else for better money personally.

TW-6-6R
20/40 240 .510 Stock springs
42/18 240 .510
$390

Andrews 31H
18/38 236 .510 Stock springs
46/14 240 .510

$281.56

I'm not in the position that I could consider a near identical cam for over $100 more....but that is just me, I'm not saying there may not be other factors involved in a decision.

http://bigboyzheadporting.com/tccams.htm A good link to compare cam selections. I found an Andrews H37 for $229.00 and the Woods TW6-6 for just over $300.00. Look around deals are out there, deflation is just around the corner.

My reason for going with the Woods TW6-6 ,powerband from off idle to 5500 RPM's Andrews 26H 1800 to 5200 RPM's Andrews 37H 2200 to 5600 RPM's, I spend most of my time in the lower R's and I'm going with the 30T pulley. All of these cams are drop in and the stock springs are good to go.

I am buying parts for a 95" build that will not include gear drive simply because I don't want to go into the bottom end on this go-round, so I'm keeping the roller chain and having headwork done to make sure my cam selection will have the ability to breath.
When, or if, I go with a stroker crank I will have it "trued and glued" to make sure the "belt drive" cams in the next build will be able to twist me off the seat and not worry about things coming apart from too much torque.
Good thinkin, this is what I did with my crank, but didn't stroke it!

Before '07 there was a problem with the cam chain drive. Harley corrected this and the drive is now reliable. To make up for this Harley started manufacturing cranks with excessive runout... wobble. If you install gear drive that wobble will be transferred to the cam drive gears as noise... not cool noise, but ugly noise. Go with the 6-6 and don't think twice about it. There is no cam like the 6 in performance.
Sandy.
