I have a friend who has a 1999 wide glide and i have some sliders from a 2004 wide glide will the internals from the 1999 fit inside the 2004 ones? I know we have to get a newer brake capiler and we are putting a newer 21 inch front wheel on it. We just want to swap the sliders. Can this be done?

yes they are both 41mm and the sliders are the same length.

 

Not a problem. Only limitations are diameter of the tubes and length of the leg (because of spring length.

 

thats what i was thinking but just wanted to be sure before we tore it apart Since we are useing everything inside from the 1999 as well as the tubes everything should go ok. He wants a spoke chrome rim and likes the newer style so we decided to give it a try.
