Default Headlight Angle...

After relocating my bag from atop my headlight housing to the front of my sissy bar, I am now noticing my headlight more now and was curious if this looks like my headlight is angled too far downward..

Take it outside at night, and you'll soon find out if its angled right or not.. I dont think anyone can tell you for sure wether or not its angled perfectly. To me, it looks like its pointing down a bit to much, but you'd just have to take it out and see, ya know?

Looks like it is set up for rabbit hunting. Just kidding. Yes, it looks like it may be pointing down just a hare.

Kinda hard to tell, but from the pictures I would say yes, pointing down too much. Wait till it gets dark, and then pull out into your driveway or onto the street (with no traffic). Check to see where your low/high beam project out to. That will help you get it aimed properly.

It's almost impossible to say for sure, just by looking at your picture.

If you still have an owners manual, there is a chart listed for headlamp alignment.

Well, just got back from my "alignment" and yeah, they were mad low. I went to the end of my driveway and aimed at my garage door and it looked like my headlight was there to keep my front tire lit up, LOL. In all seriousness, at 20 feet, only about 2/3 of that was lit in front of me, so I raised it up about a millimeter below the highest position, and it looks and lights perfect now..

On a side note, that also cured my headlight wire issue (being too tight). Created a normal amount of slack now.

if you have a garage (or wall of a house, etc) then when the bike is 25' from it the headlights should be centered 35" up.
