Found it at Auto Zone for $9.50 a quart, and $9 a quart at wallmart. Didn't know either of these places sold it and that it was cheaper then the harley stuff or I would have started using it a long time ago.
Get me to wondering, and maybe this has been beaten to death, is there a difference between what you called "v-twin 20w50 synthetic" and regular 20w50 synthetic? Is there something added in there??

The motorcycle oils have a little different additive packages, in particular, anti-foaming, anti-rust/corrosion among others. Suited more for the application. Another thing to watch for and I'm not sure about Mobil, but our regular 20/50 does not have friction modifiers, same as our motorcycle oil, but many "engine" oils do and if it does it does, it's not suited for all 3 holes, in particular, the primary. Don't want friction modifiers in there.
I just rode from Central Wisconsin to Baltimore, MD straight through only stopping for gas and it kept the bike purring and relatively cool. About to change the oil again for the ride back this Saturday.

Not only is it cheaper than Syn3 it's a much better oil. (Syn3 isn't a bad oil, it's just an okay $5 oil being sold for $11.)
