Fat Boy Front and Rear on Dyna Street Bob
I finally started working on the wrecked 07 SB that I bought in Janurary. I got most of the needed parts off eBay. I spent quite some time grinding the fork stops on the lower tree. I used two sticks to compare the steering angle on my shovel. I replaced the fork springs with Progressive. It was a fight trying to push the caps back on. I ended up using a 2 by 4 for leverage. Put the front wheel and the old style WG fender on. Then I set the Fat Boy rear 6.5in. wheel and 200 tire in place just to see how much left axel spacer needs to be removed. The wheel orginally had the 25 mm bearings. I had a local shop remove the bearings. The mechanic welded a washer on one bearing and drove it out with a punch. The inner wheel bearing spacer was set up on a lathe and shortened. The new 1 in. bearing are wider that the 25mm.
Next week the bike goes the machine shop for spacing the front and rear wheels. And to mount the softail floorboards. I put new pictures in my Photo Gallery if anyone is interested.

I'm hauling to the machine shop after lunch. I live near Locust Grove, OK and taking the bike to Jay. Richard does good work. I will be posting more pics and specs as the project continues. There seens to be interest in fatter tires on Dynas and making tourers out of them. And I want to do both.
Finding a Photo Album is easy. Click on the poster's name and check if that person has an album. I don't have any pictures in the garage section yet.
