SE 180 Rear tire on '08 FXD Pics
Just replaced my back tire at exactly a year from the date I purchased the bike, and 9,350 miles. The 180 didn't make a major difference, but I think it looks a bit better.
This is the Dunlop/HD Screaming Eagle 180. All the talk on the HD website about needing a kit for the wires was hokum. The dealer installed it no problem.
No idea about handling differences yet – I won’t judge that for a couple of hundred miles or so. Here are the before and after pictures:

Looks good man.
Just did the same to mine as well but I managed 11,500 out of my stock tire. I put the wheel back on my self and didnt use the kit either.
I can tell a difference in handling and it goes thru the turns smoother but comparing a tire with 11k+ on it to a new tire isnt really a fair comparison lol

Then you did extremely well, the SE 180s have a relatively soft tread compound. They do handle well and I certainly appreciate the traction and stickiness that they have. Mine had several dyno runs and much engine tuning time on them but the best that I got was a little over 6,000 miles before they needed replacement. I don’t do burn outs and I am a reasonably conservative rider. Getting that kind of mileage out of them you are doing very well indeed.
