If you wanna ride your bike, don't worry what it sounds like at "idle"...

Let just say in my group of riding buddies, there is one guy who always wants to ride behind me, just so he can hear my pipes. They sound excellent.

As someone said, not too loud in town but if you get on it, you WILL hear them.

Couldn't say on the performance, I had it tuned when I put on the pipes and a/c. But with those 3 mods, you can tell a big difference.

I do care, not so much worry, about the sound at idle as I prefer a deeper rumbling vs. more of a rasp; however, I guess I should have elaborated a little more, as that is not the only thing that has me leaning towards this exhaust.

I also like the sound it makes when you roll on the throttle, and the byproduct of 2-1's boosting performance I think is nice. These things got me reading more into and checking out the 2-1's further, and I have actually grown to like the V&H big radius 2-1 now.

My mind is not made up yet; however, that is the direction it's leaning on at the current time.....

They came on my bike, great look.

Horrible power, and rather obnoxiously loud. I sold em as soon as I could.

Intersting. This is the first real negative thing I hear about them. Usually it's the opposite: Better performance and a sound that is not too loud unless you want them to be.

I'm not knowledgeable in the subject, but could this have been a poor install or a baffle issue?

I got a 2-1 Vance and Hines Pro-Street exhaust off E-Bay for $250 total..The seller didn't like the exhaust. When the package arrived I noticed the baffle was covered in black soot..The seller's fuel mixture was WAY too rich...His loss, my gain!

I installed the pipe and immediately noticed a significant increase in off-idle response with no re-jetting required...Another benefit was quieter exhaust when coming thru the neighborhood during late hours. I'll never go back to drag pipes!

1st person I have ever heard say that. If they came on your bike, how do you know they made horrible power? What bike?

I had them on my fatbob, not a/c or fuel mgt, sounded great, made better power.
