It's a great pipe, sounds good when you want it to, not so loud going through town to attract LEO attention. It all depends on the volume control, right side of handlebar
Also, the install was a breeze. Pipes bolted right up, kit was right on.
I was originally interested in the BUB Straightaways or Cobra Speedsters (Long Shotgun Type Exhaust); however, I've been reading that 2-1 gives you the deepest rumble at idle.
Been reading my brains out about installing new pipes on my 2009 FatBob. I really like the black BR 2-1. I am not into more power or torque. To old for that. Just beter sound and looks. Can I install without changing a/c or installing a fuel mgt system?

Same here, performance gains to me are a byproduct at this time. I'm more interested in the right (for me) sound.
As for the a/c & fuel managemente system, I will let the folks who actually know what they are talking about comment.
I'm really happy with the look and sound, but the byproduct is pretty frikkin cool too. Don't know how much of that is just the exhaust, but sure helped.
Anyway, I'm pretty sure for this exhaust is going to cost you the intake and fuel management system too. It's like adding a high power vacuum cleaner on your exahust ports.

Yes, you can install pipes with changing the a/c or adding a aux fuel management system. If you do both pipes and a/c, then yes you need a 'tuner'. Only changing one end of the "pipe", does not make it flow more air ("pipe" being the whole flow system - a/c, heads, exhaust).
