Hey guys need an answer.
Up here they will not give me the cd and cable with the unit.
They say you need a harley laptop to run the software is this true?
If not how do you guys tweak your maps? Can you adjust them yourself?
If you can adjust them please help....

you can buy the cables cd and a training manual through the dealer or on ebay eaven cheaper.

they do make a point of why do you want to change things? if it runs good and dynoed good why mess with it.

i just had mine done, i`m pleased. i`m not sure what i would change.

If they wont sell you the cable or CD, find another dealer... or look at the Daytona Twin Tech

Just about any Windose laptop will run the software, I think it needs a USB port.

You can buy the cables and software CD a lot of places, including the online dealers.

You can collect data and change tuning, but the smarts of analyzing the recorded data and then determining what should be adjusted is not included... you will have to learn it. There are books written on the subject.

What version SERT? I have the V477 that I run on an old Windows 2000 Laptop. You need the CD. If you paid for the CD I would demand they refund your money or give it to you.

Screw the SERT, and buy the TTS Mastertune. They are who created the SERT in the first place. They are no longer, because TTS wanted to put more "stuff" in the software than Harley wanted. With the TTS you get the cable and CD and it's about the same price.... and you can do your own own tuning runs. Any laptop running win98 to Vista can run it. Go google "tts mastertune" and do a bit of reading....

The ONLY drawback to the TTS is it locks itself to your bike. But I view it like I would view any other decent mod or upgrade: it goes with the bike if - if I sell it.

I'm running the TTS and it works great.

Someone is feeding you a big load of bu!!**** there Randy.

Latus Harley in Portland has been trained to use the TTS, (I know this from the guy who does the training) so when time comes for a dyno run.... that's where I'm headed.
