I recently bought a 2009 FXDC and it came with, what appears to be, a 32109-08a tuner. I have no cables or software with it and no chance to get it from the previous owner.
It doesn't look like it is available from the dealer any longer. Does anyone know where I might find it? Will the cable from my previous SE Race tuner work? If so, where might I find the software?
I couldn't tell you if your old cables will work or not, but I got mine used off ebay for about $20. And the software is a free download, just google it.
I guess I'm just out of luck. I tried entering the number from under the barcode on the back of the tuner and I get a message to reenter the serial number No download offered. Someone put masking tape over the other label on the back of the tuner and it ruined the label when I tried to remove the tape. The masking tape has a serial number written on it but that doesn't work either.
I guess if I want to tune this bike I'll have to buy an after market tuner. I have no way to contact the previous owner and now no way to download the software. Another $300 down the drain.
I heard all 1s. Give them both a try, don't give up yet!!
you're probably right. either way, I know that I have downloaded using zeros or ones before when I didn't have my VCI handy when downloading the software.
I finally got it and figured out the exact sequence to use:
1.) Buy CD from eBay for $29.99
2.) 1 minute after purchasing the CD use eleven 1's as a serial number on the download page.
3.) Download file.
I think, as par for me, number 1 is the key. Oh, well, now I have version 9.xx and version 10.xx which might be screwed with since the EPA fiasco.
