I finally got it and figured out the exact sequence to use:
1.) Buy CD from eBay for $29.99
2.) 1 minute after purchasing the CD use eleven 1's as a serial number on the download page.
3.) Download file.
I think, as par for me, number 1 is the key. Oh, well, now I have version 9.xx and version 10.xx which might be screwed with since the EPA fiasco.
I agree with Br125, I don't mind v10 at all. And just for curiosity sake, did your old cables work or do you need new ones?
I haven't been able to try them yet but I can't see why they won't work. One is a standard USB cable and the other is serial to the bike data port which hasn't changed.
