Just been in dealers trying to order cables and software for SE pro super tuner.Was told this would not work without a digi-somthing(forgot what he called it) which is only sold directly to tuning shops. He said the software would allow me to make changes but these changes revert back to the origional map after about 20 mins.
Dont know much about tuners but this sounds very strange me since if you flash the ECM how can it revert back to the previous tune.
Is this just more B/S from a dealer trying to get my money.

 

Kinda sounds like b/s. Got all my stuff off eBay and no issues of reverting back.

 

they are full of it, had the race tuner for my sporty bought the cables tuner and sw from an hd dealer on ebay and it worked fine

 

None of this information is correct. Could try ordering online from Surdyke, not sure about shipping to Ireland.

 

Not true, look into the TTS tuner before you buy

 

Be aware that the TTS will require that you carry a PC with you for data logging.

As I thought, makes no sense.They installed the tuner 2 years ago and told me no problem ordering the CD and cables whenever I wanted. Just want me to keep dropping it in for them to do the "work"(download) and charge me an hour's labour(the minimum) every time I modify the bike. Pity, I would like to support my local dealer since we have only 2 HD dealers in Ireland but now thinking of going for the Power Vision when I fit new cam's and pipes later this year
