Looks nice .... I toy around with the idea of changing my mini-apes regularly, but once I sit on the bike I like them too much to go with something different. The NightRod fairing looks great .... I've often wondered if I could get one to fit with without trimming it for my speedometer by using pullback risers to change it's position and angle to straight up and down.

Does anyone know who makes a a 16 inch ape that looks and feels just like the stock mini apes on a sb?

The apes do look good and the fairing works. I still prefer the look of your drag bars, maybe because almost every bike I've had in the last 40 years had something similar. But bottom line- unless it's a show bike you have to feel good on it.

I didn't think I would ever change out my stock bars either. until I rode another streetbob with 16" apes on it.. Wow fell in love with it. The 16' were to tall for me though .... I am putting 14" apes on. I can't ride with any kind of drag bar.. Long rides make the back of my neck, shoulders and back hurt .. I have to be sitting up straight.

adrian I've always loved your scoot with the apes. When you added the drags, it looked good, but the apes looked wayyy better. With the pin stripping, you should definitely stick with apes, IMO.

Thanks for the compliments fella's. Unfortunately, I don't have the kind of money for my bike to be a show bike. It is a bike thats ridden almost every day, so comfort is a bit higher on the priority list. I think some gimps would look good as well. Hmmmmmmmmmm.... so many options!

Forgetting about comfort and looks, do you feel one style handlebar offers an advantage in terms of handling over the other?
