Default Rotors for 06 Super Glide cast oem wheels

I have an 06 Street Bob and am going to install cast oem switchblade wheels from an 06 Super Glide on it. My new wheels came without a rotor, and as I understand it my Street Bob rotors will not interchange. What is the difference in the rotors, and does anyone have a part number for the 06 Super Glide rotors. I would prefer something more interesting from the aftermarket, but will settle for stock rotors if all else fails.

Thanks,

difference is the rotors on the cast wheels attach to the "spoke" part of the wheel and not the hub portion as with true spoke wheels. its more of a ring than a disk. does that make sense?

Most stock mag wheel rotors go cheap on eBay. Sometimes they don't even get a bid at $20. The last spoke wheel rotor off a Dyna that I watched went for $26.

the rear rotors should be interchangable, the front is wheel specific. Be sure to get the special bolts for the front rotor too.

You need these bolts (chrome):

Ans special floating "wave washers" from HD to attach the front rotor. They are V-Rod parts.

Hmmm ... interesting ...

I removed the front rotor from my FXDI stock 13 spoke aluminum mag wheel and reused it on the FLSTC front wheel (40-spoke) I replaced it with ... reused the same bolts ... with no ill effects apparently (so far ... knock wood) ....

I reused my rear rotor similarly ....

By the by I also reused my front caliper on the FLST fork leg ... worked like a champ ....

A little surprised by all the hand wringing about the rotor and bolts--but, maybe things have changed significantly since the 2005 model year ....

- come to think of it, there was a ring (cover or thin spacer) that went under the rotor between the mag wheel and the rotor that I did not reuse on the spoke wheel.

Lama, thanks. What are the wave washers?? First I've heard of those. I didn't think the FXD rotor was a floating rotor? Thought that was only on my original Street Bob front spoke wheels and rotor. hmmm.
