Default Big Radius / Wide Glide Question

I was on the Vance and Hines website and it states that the big radius 2 into 1 will not fit on the new Wide Glide. Can anyone shed any light as to why it would not fit? Thanks.

Probably need to tweak the bends on the front pipe to stay outta the way.... other than that, I have no idea... seems kinda lame that there would be that much difference

The problem is the passenger foot peg. It needs to be moved up an inch or so on the right side. The D&D Fat Cat will work if you like it.

B767 you are exactly right! The right passenger peg hits. I left it off for now but I am going to take it to work and shave it done. Thanks for the help.

So you already have the exhaust on? How close was the peg? What are you having to shave, just the bottom of the rubber peg? Some folks install a relocation kit that raises the peg up. Some do both sides and others only raise the right side. From what I understand it's not really noticable to the passenger.

I've seen that done too, fabricate spacers for both sides and fit it between the foot peg mount and anchor points, buy longer fixing bolts and voila !

Well Vance and Hines supplies a spacer that I will shave down for a short term fix. Without the spacer the peg hits the top of the exhaust. With the space the peg hits the bottom of the rear fender. Just like Sumpnut wrote, for the permanent fix I am going to fab up an extension/spacer. Something to pull the pegs out and up. I don't know if you have seen my pic but they are located here.
