The answer is an absolute NO
There is no room at all between the risers and the Nightrod fairing
(which is also the wide glide fairing that they discontinued, different part number, but same kit breakdown)

Having said that, if you were to try to mount a 2 5/8 tacho off the REAR riser bolts, that might go close

But no way 2 full size gauges at the front

so the xl visor on the sportster pic shown is the way to do this (fit dual guage cluster) and by Rounders account sounds like can be 'made to fit' a 49mm fork tube with some worm clamps and/or fabricated bracket then? Ive never been into fairings but theyre growing on me - though i wanna keep em small - aesthetics really only - and really to tuck dual guages so I can remove oem dash compeltely

I didn't realize you really wanted the big guages...would be doable with the smaller ones & your bars though. I dig what you're after!

the night rod fairing mounts off the headlight
not that dynas have a bottom mount headlight, you can fit it(dependant on model and mods)
the xl mounts of the 39 mm forks, and at xl width
you have 49 mm , and a little wider
you would not get a very good look at the front width wise
wrong brackets, wrong width, wrong height
the v rod series 49 mm , and the dyna 49 mm share the same fork brace
therefore the same width, therefore the same front look
the xl simply would not work easily, or, ultimately, well
1/4 fairing is the solution there, PROVIDED THAT YOU LIKE THE LOOK.......
which I do not
But......... you may
Are you planning a tank change???? As in, your speedo is not on the risers currently, are you planning to move it there????
Because if the idea is that you are planning to add a tach, you could always do that backwards off the rear riser bolts, in front of the tank, and have the fairing as well
But it would absolutely be a different look to the classic twin gauges

thanks chad - dont really have my mind fixed on anything yet - just sorta concept/whats doable phase - a pair of small duals would do it for me!

as said - the goal is to get all off the tank, but i still want a speedo/odo and i want to add a tach. I dig the relocations that the sportsters do (rocker box, off the left fork tube, etc, but i dont think those work right with a dyna and large tank and i want something practical, where im looking staright on - up under the fairing just makes perfect sense, hencethe sporty in 1st post.

Ya the head on as far as right in the line of sight is priceless no doubt! I think the look & idea you're seeking is killer...as you know not really a bolt on simple solution, may even take a couple tries till ya come up with what you're after & really happy with it. Lookin forward to see what ya come up with! Just try not to overthink it, LOL!

Default My fairing

Here are some pics of how it look from the seat and how it looks mounted. It does mount to the hood over the headlight, not the bottom.

Default original pic

I'm fairly certain that the original pic is the same as my fairing, and I've seen other pics of it on a nightster with guages buried in it off of the stock risers. WJKramers bike on this forum is the one i find when I google it.
