I would do it myself....the more you do, the more you learn...If you've gone this far, you obviously aren't afraid to get your hands dirty, or to pull things apart....take your time, read the manual (especially if unsure), and ask questions....you will be richer(both pocketbook and head knowledge) for the experience.

I'd assume this is the infamous "inner primary bearing"? Best wishes to you. If I was local I'd come and give you a hand, not that I'm a mechanic but I used to play one on t.v.

Negative, it's the main drive gear bearing. It's behind the trans sprocket. The IPB is pressed into the back of the inner primary case.

... and try to find a bearing that has a metal retaining cage instead of plastic, to go back in maybe...?
