Default Passenger Pegs for V&H Pipes on FXDF

Looking at the Vance and Hines site for my Fat Bob, I noticed that the passenger foot pegs may not work with the following pipes:

Big Radius 2 into 2
Big Shots Staggered
Short Shots Staggered

These pipes look great but useless to me if there aren't any footpegs for my wife.

Probly just need to put a block between the peg mount and swing arm, to raise the peg up a little. I've seen it mentioned to get those pipes to work on other models.

Other pipes come up higher than Short Shots, that's the problem the way I understand it.

They were on his list, that's why I let him know that the short shots did not have a problem with the passenger pegs.

HD is nothing more than a simple puzzle to analyze. All things can be accomplished with a lil forethought, some basic tools, and a a few well placed questions on this Forum.

Im almost sure, Vance and Hines, took the fit into consideration and may well have a solution for the passenger peg issue.

I cant imagine them making pipes and removing basic stock components from the bike. especially safety items like the foot pegs.

If your still confused, give em a call first.

if not,do what i do, run a search on this board for those specific pipes and see what turns up. im sure someone turned a negative into a positive if that be the case.

Understood, no worries...Only commenting on* what I've read on the others. Put the Short Shots on mine before the rear pegs and pillion.

*Edit add from there

It's all good. I surprised V&H said that there may be a problem with the short shots, plenty of clearance. I guess if you increased the stock shock length you may run into problem but that would be the only way i see.

Does your passenger feel the exhaust since the pipes are exiting right where the pegs are?
