I think I need to clean mine as part of troubleshooting an issue I'm having... I know where the valve is just inside the intake throat, but what kind of spray or solution can I use?
Seafoam deep creep spray, you should be able to find it at your auto parts store.

Thanks man. So I can spray it in, let it sit, and put the intake back on and fire it up? Anything I need to be careful with when using the seafoam in that area?

Remove your A/C, in the top of the throttle body you'll see the IAC valve. Hold a rag at the opening of the throttle body and spray the valve. Spray until all the black crap stops running out. If you can't find seafoam the parts store should have some sort of throttle body cleaner for fuel injection.

The wires could also be broken, so also check for damaged wiring and continuity between the injector side and ecm side.

[QUOTE=SC-Longhair;6799366]Copy n pasted from powercommander.com FAQ page:

Applicable to 801-511/802-511
Q:The bike will not start after washing the bike or running in rain for an extended amount of time.
These models have a rubber boot that needs to be transferred from the bike's OEM connector to ours. This keeps water out of the computer and if not installed, the sides of the ECM have openings that allow liquid right into the circuitry. In some cases, the computer can be removed and dried out for a couple days and it will function like normal, but this is not guaranteed. Make sure that the rubber boot, if it was installed, does not have any holes and is securely placed to keep water out as much as possible.

Not tryng to steal this thread, but the 801+802 Power Commanders were for the Magnetti-Morrelli. 10+ YEARS AGO. If you have to dig that deep to find something wrong with a product, than I guess they must have improved since than.
As for your trouble, my moneys with the BLOB. If it's still screwed up with the PC3 disconnected, I'd go after the IAC. Just my 1cent opinion(not worth 2cents).

When you clean the IAC, cycle the ignition key on/off a few times, 3 sec on, 3 sec. off.

Ok I'll do that -- what does that do? Does it actuate the IAC valve?

And... just to make sure I understand you... you're saying to turn the ignition on/off in 3 second intervals... no need to hit the RUN switch and turn the engine over a couple times, right?

You cycle the ignition with the Run Switch leaving the key on. You do not turn the
engine over at all. You will hear your fuel pump priming the injectors and you should
be able to see the IAC valve move in and out each time you cycle it.
